hey,

i am having trouble getting the Natit installer to work properly. I can install it just fine, and when i reboot it correctly identifies my graphics card for what it is (XFX 6800XT) but then it errors out, because it cannot load the NVDAResman.kext file.

any ideas?

My Specs are:

AMD 3200+ Venice (priveliged with SSE3! :P)

1GB RAM

XFX Nvidia 6800XT (256MB GDDR3)

JaS 10.4.7 AMD iso------>JaS 10.4.8 update---------->AMD 10.4.8 v2 update (from the pirate)

running very stable. just needs QI/Quartz!

then an opteron.....

thanks in advance!!!

any takers?

I guess you are using my installer?!

Try this:

chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/NVDAResman.kext
chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/NVDAResman.kext

and then delete extensions.mkext and extensions.kextcache

reboot and it has to be ok! :D

ah ha the man himself! thanx for the reply. do i do this once i have installed the driver (so when it reboots, i use the -s flag and type the code you gave me in) or do i do it before i reboot?!

thanks in advance!

Do this in Terminal (in Mac OS X)

Or does your system not boot?

nah it doesnt boot, it just hangs after installing the driver. it says a link/load error has occured when trying to load nvdaresman.kext.
