head
fruity loops is not an application i would recommend. if you want real to play music live, try ableton live. if you want to produce tracks, try ableton live. if you want the (imho) best and innovative music-solution, try ableton live. i recently bought it, for round 200€ (this is the first buy in software since many many many many years) - and its great. a crack for mac (when there will be one) will not last forever, as it was in version 5. as for real turntables, nothing is better than the old technics mk2 - i have friends who have them for 7 or 8 years now - no problems. DiaboliK
if you head over to your local hip-hop/record shop and they sell turntables usually look by thier cash register and they have optical TurnTables specifically (and optical conversion kits) for your pc i dunno about mac support yet. they will also come with thier scratch programs (BTW are tons of on sourceforge, and diy tuts on how to make your own optical turntables). i hope that helps abit. i also recommend ableton live for mac and fruityloops i believe is only pc, works great tho for beatmaking!
