First time installing OSX, and the little newb in me has hit a little wall.

I seem to be unable to run a number of applications, including the built in chess game, iChat, and the screensaver preview (you know - where you pick your screensaver. I can pick my desktop, but not my screensaver...)

As said in the topic title, it's an IBM T42.

- Pentium M 1.8 GHz

- 512 MB ram

- ATI Mobility RADEON 7500 (32 MB)

(So, one of the older, lower power T42s - but it's still got enough guts. I am posting this from OSX. :pirate2: )

Any help would be awesome.

You have to enable OpenGL and QE of Radeon 7500. Below threads might help you.

Since 7500 has no support of CI, some screensavers still won't run.
