Okay, first off you need to know a few things:

 

1. Pages is a page layout program, not a word processor.

 

2. There are very limited spreadsheet functions in iWork.

 

3. Keynote does kick some major butt over PowerPoint.

 

So if you're a PowerPoint user, iWork will knock your socks off. If you don't use PP, then I'd stick with Office or go with something like OpenOffice/NeoOffice or even the time honored AppleWorks.
