Dogaroo
Sorry if this question has been asked before, I searched the forums multiple times but couldn't find a solution. After installing 10.4.6 JaS DVD release successfully on the second partition (first is xp), I reboot with the second partition set active only to encounter the error message at startup: "Error loading operating system" The partition is formatted correctly, it is a primary partition and is set active, however it is not the first partition on the disk, and I am not sure if that is necessary or not. After googling I found that this error message has something to do with the MBR being incorrect. So I ran fdisk /mbr to rebuild, restarted and this time I get "partition signature != 55AA" I have tried nearly everything, reinstalling osx several times... anybody have any ideas?
