oracleonline
Finally I managed to get my cardbus working in Thinkpad R52, and when i inserted indigo DJ, small icon showed up in the menu bar suggesting the new card was found. But when I installed driver 1.4 for mac from echoaudio.com and restarted, nothing changed, the card was still unrecongnized. In system profiler the card was labled as "pci 1057, 3140/Multimedia device/vendor unknown/type cardbus/vendor ID 4183/dev ID 13328". But I found out in windows the card had ven1058/dev3140. Is there anyone experencing the same problem? And please, can anyone tell me what to do? thx. Currently running: Jas SSE2 10.4.7, IOPCIFamily.kext from 10.4.4 which enables the PCcard slot. system.log Nov 7 23:57:08 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: Intel PCIC probe: Ricoh RL5C476 rev b3 Nov 7 23:57:08 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: cs: cb_alloc(bus 5): vendor 0x1057, device 0x3410 Nov 7 23:57:08 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: cs: cb_alloc(bus 5): found 1 functions Nov 7 23:57:08 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: cs: cb_config(bus 5) Nov 7 23:57:08 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: fn 0 bar 1: mem 0xa0000000-0xa00fffff Nov 7 23:57:08 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: irq 16 Nov 8 00:01:05 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: Intel PCIC probe: Ricoh RL5C476 rev b3 Nov 8 00:01:05 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: cs: cb_alloc(bus 5): vendor 0x1057, device 0x3410 Nov 8 00:01:05 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: cs: cb_alloc(bus 5): found 1 functions Nov 8 00:01:05 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: cs: cb_config(bus 5) Nov 8 00:01:05 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: fn 0 bar 1: mem 0xa0000000-0xa00fffff Nov 8 00:01:05 localhost kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: irq 16 Nov 8 00:01:44 zhang-yimengs-computer kernel[0]: IOPCCard info: cs: cb_free(bus 5) Nov 8 00:01:44 zhang-yimengs-computer kernel[0]: IOPCCard: shutting down socket 0. Pitr-
No big surprise there, those drivers are for Mac PPC only (dated 02/01/2006 and no mention about Universal Binary in changelog). The only way to solve this is by contacting echoaudio and ask for a unibin-driver.
oracleonline
thx Pitr-. I've emailed echo asking for a unbin driver. Hope they have one .
g4lch (Mark)
you will wait a long time they have no plans for UB drivers, I have been in touch with Echo and I now have a driver that loads the card up (light on) and works of sorts, a few timing issues at the moment but I hope to have the driver finished soon. Its my first osx pci driver so learning new stuff, but Echo have confirmed that they are not planning to release UB drivers hence why I am writing my own driver stack. I have a Indigo DJ but the driver should work with the Indigo Indigo IO, and all other cards as well. Regards Mark
