AMDCats
Hello, I have been trying to create a Hackintosh using the Ryzen build guild http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324392-ryzen-clover-installation-guide-macos-sierra/?hl=+ryzen. I am planning on using a secondary SATA (Seagate Momentus thin 500 GB). This drive I removed from a older computer, and it works but there are "locked" system files that I can not affect, and I can not find a way to create a Guid partition map. I have tried to find guides to do this online, but have not found any so far. Thank you Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324651-format-hard-drive/ Share on other sites

RandomTech
if you have a chance to get to Windows, you can try this: 1. Run CMD as admin 2. Type ''diskpart'' /ENTER 3. Type ''list disk'' /ENTER 4. Select the disk you want to format, for example ''select disk 1'' /ENTER After you see message says, disk 1 is selected (or any other disk you are referring to), then.. 5. Type ''clean'' /ENTER You will see successful message -Now exit Note: All commands without quotes Now go to Disk Management to set your formatted hard drive from the beginning. If you don't have access to Windows then boot at least with a Windows installer, in the installer window press SHIFT+F10 to get to CMD 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324651-format-hard-drive/#findComment-2449061 Share on other sites
