gio on the mic Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 Ciao SaxxMachine, ho installato nel mio notebook la 10.4.8 con il kernel 8.8.1 di semthex. Ho però lo stesso problema che avevo con la 10.4.6: la Realtek 8139 viene riconosciuta (carica la kext corrispondente) ma poi da preferenze network non la vedo sotto "network status", mentre sotto "network ports" mi elenca "Built-in ethernet" ma è disabilitata (in grigetto e non attivabile). Dando un'occhiata alle estensioni caricate con "system profiler" mi dice che AppleRTL8139 ha problemi di dipendenze con l'estensione IONetworkingFamily. Qualche idea? Per soddisfare le dipendenze ci deve essere esattamente la stessa versione richiesta o può andare bene anche una successiva? In caso potresti postarmi da qualche parte la tua IONetworkingFamily.kext funzionante? grazie. A proposito, se provo ad aprire "About This Mac" mi va in crash, e in System Profiler la voce Hardware mi da: There was an error while gathering this information. Suppongo le due cose siano collegate... credi possa funzionare se sostituisco AppleSMBIOS.kext con una versione meno recente? PS: ho provato la nuova versione ss3 con kernle 8.8.1 mha... a detta di tutti doveva andare meglio!, io ho un incremento di prestazioni minimo, con xbench facevo 102 ora con il nuovo kernel faccio 104 e photoshop è + lento! Se lo fai 10 volte di fila cambia i risultati anche se non tocchi nulla... E' la stassa cosa di linux un kernel vecchio è bugguta il nuovo è mezzo risolto se non del tutto. Ora però vorrei verificare se è installato correttamente. Qual è il comando? Inoltre scusate, visto che per motivi strani ho installato la 10.4.6 e da lì aggiornato alla 10.4.8 (dicendo però che c'erano stati degli errori). C'è un modo per verificare se l'installazione è corretta? In "Info su questo Mac", sembra tutto ok.. ma un modo empirico per verificarlo c'è? R. P.S. Spero di essere in linea con le regole, mi scuso per eventuali errori.
