dualBooter
I just want to say thnx to Semthex, JaS, and all the other devs for their hard work, patience, and brain power. I myself will love to see SSE2 for AMD, so I can run on my zv5000z as well as my dev box clone (all in good time). I think it's awesome that there has been, for the most part, an awesome spirit of cooperation and information sharing (especially of late, on the IRC channels). I really appreciate the people here who have been generous to the community, and focused on that. I wish all software projects could take a cue from OSx86project/InsanelyMac. What a great worldwide tech community we'd have then.... Cheers!!!! drolevar
I've got strange errors after installing the kernel: I suppose it's related to IOATAFamily.kext, but I've tried kexts from 10.4.7 and from 10.4.8 (Jas COmbo update), none are working. Can anyone direct me to the solution? Maybe some files in PM? peak7810
The same error i have too. Somebody say thats are because i have used the patched updates on demonoid. Try "mach_kernel.old" on bootparameters. Perhaps it will starts and you can change anythink on the system. semthex
These errors are related to an outdated install. You need to update your kext and stuff, won't work with an old system guys. peak7810
"outdated"???? 10.4.6 + update 10.4.7 and combo update 10.4.8 from demonoid is outdated, or mean you the new kext special for the new kernel?? semthex
You need the files from the original apple updates not the combo from demnoid. It uses still 4.4 kext, those are outdated and won't work with the new kernel. You might want to read the FAQ in my siganture. There is a link howto setup a correct install. drolevar
Ok, but what if I have the Mac OS X 10.4.7 AMD/Intel (JaS) ISO Repack release? Can I just skip the patches and then apply some update? Maybe official one? peak7810
Perhaps if you make an official update the old files are overwritten. I don´t know exactly, but it can be.
