jreacher20
Hi there I'm new to this stuff, but I'm a bit tech savvy so I think I can manage to do it. First of all, here is my rig: Board: Gigabyte Z68x UD3 B3 CPU: Intel 2500k @stock clock GPU: Sapphire HD6950 1GB @stock (not unlocked) Ram: 12G I built a vanilla USB installer on a friend's macbook, then I built a clover USB bootloader from my windows PC (using a utility called BDU). I updated my BIOS to u1F, and now it boots UEFI and legacy fine So, I managed to boot from the USB clover, and it shows me the following entries:1- Windows EFI 2- Windows recovery EFI 3- OSX installer USB . I chose OSX installer and it booted fine. Then I formatted an empty partition in HFS+, then chose to install on it, and the setup said 17 minutes remaining. After that, it said "reboot to complete installation", and if I rebooted, the system would boot into the windows again. So I thought that maybe I need to manually boot into the system so that it could continue the installatoin... I booted from the USB clover again, and this time there was one more entry:4- Boot from OSX on "Basic system partition" I was pretty happy, but when I booted from it, it showed the apple loading screen then it rebooted after it finished. . So I tried all the following:1- the -v flag 2- the cpus=1 flag 3- the GraphicsEnabler=Yes and No. Neither of them worked. 4- -f flag. 5- I managed to access the HFS+ partitions from my windows installation, and I navigated to S/L/E (on the "basic system partition") and deleted all Geforce and AMD Kexts. . Nothing worked. It just keeps loading stuff, then shows a white page for 2 seconds then reboots. . EDIT:A couple more things I forgot to mention:1- My motherboard doesn't have an intel HD graphics card. 2- I'm using the DVI port in my graphics card. 3- the last thing I remember when using the "verbose" flag was that I saw "waiting for DSMOS" and then it loads some more stuff, then white page, then reboot. Update:I checked /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ and I found a kernel panic log. here it is in full: *** Panic Report *** panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff80003d255a): Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f8287d5dc, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x000000008001003b, CR2: 0x0000000000000020, CR3: 0x00000002a760d027, CR4: 0x00000000000626e0 RAX: 0x0000000000000000, RBX: 0x0000000000000004, RCX: 0xffffff7f82a77f38, RDX: 0x0000000000000002 RSP: 0xffffff817cd73af0, RBP: 0xffffff817cd73b10, RSI: 0x0000000000000000, RDI: 0xffffff8030c38000 R8: 0x0000000000000000, R9: 0x0000000000000000, R10: 0xffffff8030fc94f0, R11: 0x0000000000000004 R12: 0xffffff801ca79800, R13: 0x0000000000000000, R14: 0xffffff801ca7a200, R15: 0xffffff8031600928 RFL: 0x0000000000010246, RIP: 0xffffff7f8287d5dc, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0x0000000000000020, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x0, PL: 0 Backtrace (CPU 0), Frame : Return Address 0xffffff817cd73780 : 0xffffff80002df792 0xffffff817cd73800 : 0xffffff80003d255a 0xffffff817cd739e0 : 0xffffff80003f0233 0xffffff817cd73a00 : 0xffffff7f8287d5dc 0xffffff817cd73b10 : 0xffffff7f82865dc0 0xffffff817cd73b50 : 0xffffff7f827fdc9a 0xffffff817cd73b90 : 0xffffff7f82820d6b 0xffffff817cd73bd0 : 0xffffff7f81ceb0f5 0xffffff817cd73c20 : 0xffffff7f81cef477 0xffffff817cd73cb0 : 0xffffff7f82d19c49 0xffffff817cd73cf0 : 0xffffff7f81ce714b 0xffffff817cd73d20 : 0xffffff8000896c01 0xffffff817cd73d70 : 0xffffff80008e07f9 0xffffff817cd73de0 : 0xffffff800039b8f1 0xffffff817cd73e30 : 0xffffff80002e3ef3 0xffffff817cd73e60 : 0xffffff80002c78a8 0xffffff817cd73ea0 : 0xffffff80002d72e5 0xffffff817cd73f10 : 0xffffff80003bcd2a 0xffffff817cd73fb0 : 0xffffff80003f0a56 Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[429C688E-8DDA-3D15-9C6E-6F3F4855C424]@0xffffff7f81cdd000->0xffffff7f81d16fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[F398CE94-0FBD-3E8E-A7AB-55F7F05A81ED]@0xffffff7f80b2c000 com.apple.iokit.IOAcceleratorFamily2(205.1)[9B36322F-2685-3BDD-9734-9BCC39A0AF94]@0xffffff7f827f5000->0xffffff7f8285ffff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[F398CE94-0FBD-3E8E-A7AB-55F7F05A81ED]@0xffffff7f80b2c000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[429C688E-8DDA-3D15-9C6E-6F3F4855C424]@0xffffff7f81cdd000 com.apple.AMDRadeonX3000(1.4)[04636228-24F3-3C20-B4B4-7C5AFACEDFDB]@0xffffff7f82860000->0xffffff7f82cbafff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[F398CE94-0FBD-3E8E-A7AB-55F7F05A81ED]@0xffffff7f80b2c000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[429C688E-8DDA-3D15-9C6E-6F3F4855C424]@0xffffff7f81cdd000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOAcceleratorFamily2(205.1)[9B36322F-2685-3BDD-9734-9BCC39A0AF94]@0xffffff7f827f5000 com.apple.kext.AMDFramebuffer(1.4)[19BB8F15-DF15-33DE-A758-461CD7128987]@0xffffff7f82d19000->0xffffff7f82d3afff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily(1.4)[5D7574C3-8E90-3873-BAEB-D979FC215A7D]@0xffffff7f8117d000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[F398CE94-0FBD-3E8E-A7AB-55F7F05A81ED]@0xffffff7f80b2c000 dependency: com.apple.kext.AMDSupport(1.4.0)[B69BD872-3C05-30D5-B319-1429C14816A0]@0xffffff7f81d4b000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[429C688E-8DDA-3D15-9C6E-6F3F4855C424]@0xffffff7f81cdd000 BSD process name corresponding to current thread: WindowServer Boot args: -v cpus=1 slide=0 Mac OS version: 15D21 Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 15.3.0: Thu Dec 10 18:40:58 PST 2015; PPCnostalgic
Hi there. You can try to boot with Enoch instead of Clover, sometimes Enoch works where Clover fails. I have a HP Z400 (Clover) too but when I perform a Sierra update I have to boot with Enoch or it won't work. Then after the update is complete I switch back to Clover bootloader and everything works properly....
