xrnc
I have an Intel NUC i7 RYH running as a Macbook Pro 12,1 via clover. Originally installed El Cap, and everything worked fine except the unsupported wifi/bluetooth embedded in the NUC's mobo, which was fine, whatever. But on the first release of Sierra Apple mistakenly threw us a bone! The included bluetooth worked, but not the wifi which is still unsupported. I happily used the integral bluetooth until the first update to Sierra came along, and bluetooth mysteriously disappeared. I just updated to 10.12.3 and it's still gone from the settings menu. I made a Ubuntu bootstick to verify that it wasn't a hardware problem, and all of my devices do in fact sync up just fine under Ubuntu. Here's the output of the console in regard to blued. http://pastebin.com/LG5MEuKB And my USB device list showing the identified bluetooth controller is attached. As of these last two updates I get "no information found" in the bluetooth system report and the bluetooth menu item is greyed out, showing "not available". Anyone got any ideas? JahStories
This intel b/t needs fw injected to work, you can use a virtual machine with ubuntu to inject it, then it will work on macOS too... but you have to do this every time you reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/320546-lost-bluetooth-from-sierra-1-to-2-and-3/#findComment-2357082 Share on other sites
xrnc
That doesn't explain why it worked OOB with the upgrade from El Cap to Sierra, though... And then suddenly stopped. This might, though. https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/15081 I am doing a fresh install of Sierra and will install the virtual box version from that thread that is reported to have no Bluetooth issues, will report back.
