blackswan22
Hey everyone! I'm looking around at graphics cards for a new build and have a quick question- Am I correct in my understanding to assume that I can use any brand name graphics card so long as on the box I see the green seal that says NVIDIA GTX GeForce on it? It seems like a lot of people on this site build and run their systems with EVGA graphics cards and the NVIDIA driver. However, I was looking into purchasing either an ASUS or MSI graphics card so that I can better coordinate the colors of my computer components. blackswan22
Oh wow, good thing I asked!!! i almost bought the EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. Ok, now I'm looking at both the EVGA GeForce 750ti 2GB DDR5 and also the MSI Armor 2X GeForce GTX 970 OC 4GB. Would either of these work or just the 970 model?

blackswan22
Oh ok. No I'm just going to buy one of them, not both. I will probably go with the MSI 970, but I just wanted to have another more affordable option picked out as well.
moviemaykr
@MaLd0n, How can I get my Nvidia 740 FTW 1gb card to work well when I can't restart my machine so the web drivers will work. Is there a way around to install the drivers without a restart? I have the Nvidia icon up top and can click on Nvidia We Driver, but it asks for me to restart which I can't do at the moment.

moviemaykr
@MaLd0n how did you get your computer to restart so the Nvidia Web Drivers would take hold? Is there not a way to get the Web Drivers to work in Sierra? I have heard some on youtube say that the XFX R9 280X should work fine without drivers because the real Mac Pros use Radeon cards in their system. Mine has not worked so thats why I bought the EVGA 740 ftw 1 gb last year. I just need to find a way to install these damn Nvidia web drivers.
