Hi Guys,

Just looking at building a high-powered system for 4K video editing, after doing some research I would like to use the following specs, can you please let me know if im on the right track here?

CPU
Intel-Xeon-E5-2683-V3-SR1XH-2-0GHz-14Core-35M-9-6GT-s-LGA2011-3-CPU-Processor

MAINBOARD
Supermicro X10SRA LGA 2011

RAM
64GB or 128GB

GPU
1080x EVGA

HARD DRIVE
2TB SSD Usable Space in RAID 10

Can I use a Hardware RAID Card Here? or just use onboard Raid

PSU & CASE should be fine with anything that is compatible

Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated

That CPU is 2 years old, why do you want it? How about an i7-6950X instead?

With that SuperMicro board, the i210 NICs should work OOTB. Audio will be easy to configure.

Pascal GPU is unsupported. Go with a 980Ti instead.

Either hardware RAID card or software RAID, it's your choice. But instead, have you considered a Nvme drive? Samsung just released the 2TB 960 Pro.
