bobabot1 Posted November 1, 2006 Share Posted November 1, 2006 Hi all. I'm trying to install JaS' new 10.4.8 dvd but everytime I try to install, it brings up a dark grey box telling me to restart. When I boot with "-v" it says there is a kernel panic. Also, I have read that it is possible to install using VMWare. Would this install to the hard drive or would it only be able to be run through VMWare. Thanks in advance Oops. I forgot to add that I'm running a Intel Core Duo t2400 with SSE3. sadiekiller Posted November 1, 2006 Share Posted November 1, 2006 umm, look for just another 10.4.8. it wont be JaS, but i will work. it will have the 10.4.4 kernel, but i think JaS is working on a 10.4.4 to 10.4.8 kernel updater. I'll continue to look for a 10.4.8 but are there any ways to upgrade (there has to be) from .7 to .8? A new 10.4.8 ISO (based off of the 10.4.4 restore disc) will be released shortly and will contain the new kernel.
