Mikentosh2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Share Posted October 5, 2016 Under System Preferences/Sound/Output I see: Internal Speakers - Built-In Line Out - Audio line-out port (x2) Digital Out - Optical digital-out port ______ Apples TV - AirPlay A search for AppleHDA.kext brings up 4 occurrences that are all on a RAID from a previous real iMac. I can find no AppleHDA on the current Hackintosh or USB install drive. I have no sound although I did hear a faint speaker sound when I did something yesterday. I cannot recreate the sound. Help. My thinking is that sound should go through the DisplayPort cable. If that is not the case then, boy, have I been wasting my time trying to configure sound through the DisplayPort.
