aikidoka25
I upgraded from 10.11 to 10.12 by running the downloaded Install macOS Sierra.app directly. It ran without any issue but one: System Preferences > Sound doesn't show the audio device, but System Information detects it. The sound was good in 10.11 I am using Clover 3763. Smbios is MacPro5,1 I tried the following but none helps: 1. Using AppleHDA.kext that I had from 10.11 2. Patching AppleHDA using AppleHDA Patcher.app, options ALC885 layout 7, placed HDAEnabler, ADummy into SLE. I noticed there is a pop sound if I restarted the computer. Any idea what should I check? aikidoka25
Removed aDummy and HDAEnabler and loaded AppleALC 1.0.16 on CLOVER/Kexts/10.12 (also tried on SLE). Tried with Layout 7 and 1 using DSDT. kextstat -l | grep ALC 23 0 0xffffff7f82c3d000 0xbb000 0xbb000 as.vit9696.AppleALC (1.0.16) A2176A8D-0B84-3DEC-884D-4F94324ABD91 <7 5 4 3 2 1> Still the same issue
aikidoka25
Managed to have sound output. * Clover FixHDA = true * Audio Inject = 0 * AppleALC.kext in CLOVER/kexts + The mic on the Logitech webcam works with Siri, it wasn't working with layout = 1, 5, 7 - Have to switch the stereo jack to the black port. - I don't see the other ports on System Information, now it has less UPDATE: I just realized on System Information the layout id is 0. Weird.
aikidoka25
So I tested and found out it only works with Layout-ID 0. With 1,5 and 7 the audio does not show in System Preferences.
aikidoka25
Problem solved by using Toleda's audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0b0.command No more weird layout-id 0. Using layout-id 1 now.
