Interceptor__
So I have El Cap on my 9550, and using VoodooHDA2.8.8 I am able to use my laptops speakers. However when I plug in my headphones, the speakers go silent as they should but no sound comes out of my headphones. Also when I unplug my headphones, my computer won't have audio until I reboot. Specs: i7 6700HQ 2.6GHz 16GB DDR4 @ 2133MHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M - 3840x2160 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD Intel HD 530 Graphics - 3840x2160 Realtek ALC 3266 codec Any fixes? vusun123
VoodooHDA is not a good idea for laptop, especially if you have a Realtek ALC Codec. Give AppleALC a try mate Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/314444-xps-15-9550-288-headphones-not-working/#findComment-2268365 Share on other sites
Slice
VoodooHDA is very good for laptops and for ALC codecs. Just sound device configuration can be tuned by it's info.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/314444-xps-15-9550-288-headphones-not-working/#findComment-2278764 Share on other sites
