bs953
Ok folks I got a good one, first my specs: AMD A10-7700K with AMD-V enabled, A88X-Pro, 16 gigs ram, NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti, 120 SSD, 1tb WD Black. VM Ware Workstation 12, used unlocker 208. W10 Professional 64. I am getting the error "A fault has occurred causing a virtual cpu to enter the shutdown state"...etc etc. yes I have added smc.version = 0 and smc.version = 0 I have tried all the way down to 10.7 VMDK up to 10.12 .iso. I get the exact same error. I have enabled "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI" on or off doesn't matter. Disable acceleration for binary translation, Virtualize cpu performance counters etc etc. Same error. VM is set to 4 processors 4 GB memory flip that crude around for days to no avail. Pointed the drives to the .iso, VMDK etc etc flip back and forth. Uninstalled/reinstalled put on a pie hat stood in a tree got struck by lighting found a corner in a round room despite all those accomplishments I still can't keep the darn thing from shutting down the cpu... Obviously my VM is working or I would have other issues/errors etc. So I leave this issue to the brainiacs here perhaps a gallon of coffee and some brainstorming might help thanx everybody.... Donk
Simple you have an AMD CPU and no versions of OS X/macOS support it natively. You will need to look at the forums here for getting AMD CPUs running with the OS. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312892-vm-ware-workstation-12-1012-sierra-no-workie/#findComment-2247664 Share on other sites
