OSX-User1024
Hello everybody,I have installed OS X 10.8.5 on my PC, and I don't know how to get TRIM working with my ADATA SP550 SSD. I tried the program TRIM Enabler, but it says the patch is active, but can't verify if TRIM is enabled, and it isn't, because it doesn't show up by System Information. Does anyone know how to enable it? I am using a Dell Optiplex 380, which is not running in AHCI mode, because there isn't an option for it in the BIOS.Thanks
PippoX0
Whitout ahci you cannot get trim enabled ! So first of all , you have to find a bios patch to enable AHCI, Then trim enabler will work .. On some Dell is possibile to patch Bios to get Ahci option ... Send from iPhone/iPad
OSX-User1024
Hello, thanks for your reaction. Could you maybe tell me why TRIM does work in Windows, when AHCI is disabled? Because I read somewhere Windows does work with TRIM with AHCI disabled.
