JahStories
I strongly suggest using a clean installation method, use pandora 3.0 if you need a gui. Ciro82
Only VGA, my display is HD but doesn't support DVI... Ok VGA, but are you using a DVI-VGA adapter or are you connected directly on VGA output? EDIT: I tried one more time, here's the message I get after the reboot: "PCI configuration end, bridges 6, devices 17 panic cpu 0 caller 0xffffff80003d6a9a : kernel trap at 0xffffff7f812272e6, type 14= page fault, registers..." followed by a list of registers Does it help ? It will be better if you show full screen with the panic. There must be more information. Also show what config you used. If you are using Clover I will recommend you to update to recent revision. Some significant bugs was eliminated. Phil001
Here is a "panic snapshot I made a few days ago... I apologies for the quality of it I'm using the last version of clover and my config is in my signature The thing I don"t understand is the fact that it happens with 2 different keys one with mavericks and one with el capitan Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311692-black-screen-before-completing-installation/#findComment-2230544 Share on other sites
JahStories
Don't use VGA, theoretically it isn't supported on OsX 10.11, use an adapter. Btw I doesn't mean that it has something to do with that kernel panic, that it's related to USB. Btw I doesn't mean that it has something to do with that kernel panic, that it's related to USB. Even if I use USBFix ? So this is a question what did you do to achieve this. As far as I understand you are using some kind of Chameleon so I can't help more. Phil001
About Chameleon, it is on my Mavericks key, but on my El Capitan key I use Clover and the problem is the same.About the USB problem I don't no what I did, there isn't anything connected to my computer except (of course) the key for installation Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311692-black-screen-before-completing-installation/#findComment-2230612 Share on other sites

Phil001
No pci usb card inserted... @Slice I am preparing a new "clean" key... "There is no USBfix key in Clover. There are other settings" Can you tell me more about the "other settings" ? Now I know why El Capitan doesn't work but I still don't understand why my Mavericks key doesn't work anymore despite the fact I didn't change anything on that key and still with se same material Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311692-black-screen-before-completing-installation/#findComment-2230877 Share on other sites
