foilage11
Hi there! I am running a Hacktinosh, booting with Clover UEFI. In order to reset a Hackintosh/Mac password and access all files all that is required is booting into recovery and typing "resetpassword" into terminal. Preventing this with a real Mac requires setting a firmware password or enabling FileVault. Neither of these options work with a Hackintosh. What are our options for security and preventing this? JahStories
Cmos password on PC bioses are similar to Mac's firmware password... About FileVault, I thinks is not compatible with Osx86 on the boot drive, but should work on data drives, but it slows down the system and there are tools to crack it. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311507-hackintosh-security/#findComment-2225811 Share on other sites
