    help w/ getting 4k/60hz (back) in 10.14!

so.. I disabled SIP for something unrelated, restarted and I'm at the promised land 4k/60Hz.. wha... why... ._. so just so there's no mistake I edited CsrActiveConfig from 0x67 back to what I had before 0x0 ... restarted ... back to 4k/30Hz ._.

    help w/ getting 4k/60hz (back) in 10.14!

Further reasoning why I believe pixel clock is my final step: Pixel clock in OSX(shown through my monitor's OSD): Pixel clock in Clover bootloader: Pixel clock in Windows: Pixel clock in Windows running bestest game Starcraft: Brood War(despite much lower displayed resolution pixel clock essentially unchanged):

    help w/ getting 4k/60hz (back) in 10.14!

Unfortunately, the Hackintosh video gods have not granted me such blessings. They instead chose to slap me down with extreme prejudice.

    help w/ getting 4k/60hz (back) in 10.14!

My head is aching from slamming into a wall for so long and hard(that's what she said!) but I have a development to report! I was able to adapt the "KextsToPatch" I was using prior to Mojave(see OP) to the new style and that has unlocked 4k/30Hz! <key>Properties</key> <dict> <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key> <data> AwAiDQ== </data> <key>framebuffer-patch0-enable</key> <data> AQAAAA== </data> <key>framebuffer-patch0-find</key> <data> AwAiDQADAwMAAAACAAAwAQAAAAAAAABgmRQ= </data> <key>framebuffer-patch0-replace</key> <data> AwAiDQADAwMAAAAEAAAgAgAAAAAAAACAmRQ= </data> </dict> </dict> Now I just need help getting 60Hz because I don't know how much longer I can keep this up. It's hard. I believe the key now is pixel clock so I've so far tried: multiple different versions of standalone CoreDisplayFixup.kext WhateverGreen solutions (-cdfon boot flag & <key>enable-hdmi20</key>) in terminal: "sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force" which has helped in the past no dice.

    help w/ getting 4k/60hz (back) in 10.14!

mnfesq, thanks for replying! I tried adding CoreDisplayFixup and IntelGraphicsFixup to WhateverGreen but, alas, no change. One interesting thing I discovered is that if I add CoreDisplayFixup and IntelGraphicsFixup but REMOVE WhateverGreen and keep everything else the same(i.e. inject intel=no) I will have 4k @ 60hz but with no QE/CI, graphics & monitor not recognized etc. This is hard. Thanks! I need help. CLOVER.zip
  6. Hello friends! I need help getting my display to 4k/60hz again. Until I updated to 10.14 I had 4k/60hz working using intelgraphicsfixup + coredisplayfixup + this "KextToPatch". My prior technique has apparently been deprecated in Mojave so I've since switched to WhateverGreen. I have been struggling unsuccessfully for the last two days but haven't been able to display any resolution higher than 3840x1080. Clover menu and FileVault password entry screen are 4k resolution. Please help a fellow faceless internet user out! :( my PC Intel i5 "Haswell" Asus Z87 board Intel 4600 built in (no discrete video card) Clover UEFI FileVault2 FDE latest MacOS, latest Clover CSM disabled iGPU prealloc in BIOS set to 64mb ViewSonic 4k display connected via DP clover config my kexts

4k w/ intel 4600.. mysterious black screen of mystery

I've never applied the patch, just used the Lilu plugins. I selected recovery from the Clover menu. Clover config is quoted in OP! In other news... Hoorah!!! Apple(?) appears to have solved this issue in 10.13.4. It's been completely solved(at least for me).
  8. hello friends! I've been having an issue I hope you can assist me with me I added a 4k display recently, and in order to enable 4k output I added "CoreDisplayFixup" and a "KextsToPatch". 4k @ 60hz works but the issue is after booting I get a black screen. -If I turn the monitor off and then right back on again the picture will return. -If I walk away after about five minutes the screen will come on. If I follow the instructions here: https://github.com/PMheart/CoreDisplayFixup "Addtionally you may have a corrupted shared cache, to fix it up, disable CoreDisplayFixup and reboot, then run sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -force command in Terminal." After entering the terminal command and rebooting the problem is 100% solved. However, if I reboot again the black screen issue completely returns. friends, please advise ;) My PC: Intel i5 "Haswell" Asus Z87 board Intel 4600 built in (no discrete video card) Clover UEFI FileVault2 FDE latest MacOS, latest Clover CSM disabled iGPU prealloc in BIOS set to 64mb Clover config: <dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>DSDT</key> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>DSDT.aml</string> <key>Patches</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>change GFX0 to IGPU</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> R0ZYMA== </data> <key>Replace</key> <data> SUdQVQ== </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>change EHC1 to EH01</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> RUhDMQ== </data> <key>Replace</key> <data> RUgwMQ== </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>change EHC2 to EH02</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> RUhDMg== </data> <key>Replace</key> <data> RUgwMg== </data> </dict> </array> </dict> <key>DropTables</key> <array> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>CpuPm</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>Cpu0Ist</string> </dict> </array> <key>SSDT</key> <dict> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>CStates</key> <true/> <key>PStates</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </dict> <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>Legacy</key> <string>PBR</string> <key>Timeout</key> <integer>3</integer> <key>XMPDetection</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> <key>BootGraphics</key> <dict> <key>DefaultBackgroundColor</key> <string>0x80000000</string> <key>EFILoginHiDPI</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>UIScale</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>flagstate</key> <integer>0</integer> </dict> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>1</string> </dict> <key>FakeID</key> <dict> <key>IntelGFX</key> <string>0x04128086</string> </dict> <key>USB</key> <dict> <key>FixOwnership</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> <key>GUI</key> <dict> <key>Language</key> <string>en:0</string> <key>Mouse</key> <dict> <key>DoubleClick</key> <integer>500</integer> <key>Mirror</key> <false/> <key>Speed</key> <integer>8</integer> </dict> <key>Scan</key> <dict> <key>Entries</key> <true/> <key>Legacy</key> <false/> <key>Linux</key> <false/> <key>Tool</key> <true/> </dict> <key>Theme</key> <string>black_green</string> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>Intel</key> <true/> </dict> <key>ig-platform-id</key> <string>0x0d220003</string> </dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>AppleIntelCPUPM</key> <false/> <key>AppleRTC</key> <false/> <key>KernelCpu</key> <false/> <key>KernelPm</key> <false/> <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Increase buffer for 4K (64 MB RAM / 48 MB Framebuffer)</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> AwAiDQADAwMAAAACAAAwAQ== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleIntelFramebufferAzul</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> AwAiDQADAwMAAAAEAAAAAw== </data> </dict> </array> </dict> <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>BooterConfig</key> <string>0x28</string> <key>CsrActiveConfig</key> <string>0x0</string> (omitted) </dict> <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> (omitted.. iMac 14,1) </dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>InjectKexts</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </plist> Kexts in EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other: AppleALC AppleIntelE1000e CoreDisplayFixup FakeSMC IntelGraphicsFixup Lilu Shiki USB_Injector
  9. Hi all! Since the Sierra update Safari freezes and requires a hard reboot when it lands on certain sites containing video. The problem and a KextToPatch fix is illustrated here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/314544-safari-hangs-computer-on-some-videos/page-2 The only problem is that after the computer goes to sleep video(html5/flash) subsequently won't work at all. Has anyone discovered a fix for this yet? I have been looking for the last few months but so far nothing! Thank you!!! details: 10.12.2, uefi clover, intel 4600 graphics I can't switch to Chrome! Safari works too well syncing across Mac and iPhone! I can't get a discrete graphics card because my tower is completely silent/fanless. If I added one I would have to add fans

    Hackintosh security

Hi there! I am running a Hacktinosh, booting with Clover UEFI. In order to reset a Hackintosh/Mac password and access all files all that is required is booting into recovery and typing "resetpassword" into terminal. Preventing this with a real Mac requires setting a firmware password or enabling FileVault. Neither of these options work with a Hackintosh. What are our options for security and preventing this?

Pattern of MLB (Main Logic Board)

Checking in to report my iMessage is still working flawlessly.

Pattern of MLB (Main Logic Board)

I wanted to report I now have iMessage working without a real MLB. I used the tool from http://www.insanelym...c-board/page-13 post #260 to generate a 13 digit MLB and I used the mac address from my Apple wifi card (from http://osxwifi.com (not sure if this is relevant?)) for the ROM. My smUUID is randomly generated with uuidgen and my serial is randomly generated by Clover Configurator. I received the customer code error and it took a one minute call to Apple and I'm sending and receiving SMS now! I'll add that I tried to use the 17 digit MLB generator by the same author and that didn't work. I received an error with no customer code.

  14. So Allan, you are not using MLB/ROM from a real Mac? Just a well conceived appropriate combination?
