As the title states, I would like to install the OS on my Mac first, then plug the drive into my Hackintosh build.

Here is my build:

CPU(s): Xeon X5570 x2 (soon to become X5650's)

GPU(s):

     Internal: Matrox G200ew

     Dedicated: GTX 960 Zotac AMP! edition 4GB

Motherboard: Supermicro X8DTI-F

RAM: 8GB Hynix HMT31GR7BFR4C-H9 (Soon to be upgraded to 16GB+)

Hard Drive: 500GB Seagate ST500LM000-SSHD-8GB (Will be upgraded to 4TB WD Blue WD40E31X)

The reason I wish to do this is because, my build should be completely compatible with Mac OS Vanilla, however I need to install my GPU driver (Nvidia Web Driver) before it will boot. I am aware that it is possible to boot Mac's from USB, so I would like to know if it is possible for me to install Mac OS and the Nvidia driver on my Mac, then plug the drive into my Hackintosh.

Thanks,

Franco

I am aware of the kexts that would be necessary, however if Mac OS is like Windows, It wouldn't let me install a driver for a graphics card I don't have installed...

Correction: If the Nvidia drivers for Mac OS are like the ones for Windows, I would not be allowed to install them without the graphics card being installed.

Thanks for the suggestion!

However, I have already tried that method. It doesn't work for me. Others with the same graphics card (different brand most of the time, but still a Maxwell GTX 960) have been able to succeed by using internal graphics, which mine does not support, or a second graphics card, which I do not own, then installing the drivers.
