Best bang for the buck with older workstations?

I just finished my first hackintosh (with much help from folks on here and great documentation). It was an Optiplex 780 purchased off of Ebay for about $50. I put a larger drive in it and bumped it up to 8 gigs ram and bought an ATI video card for it. It seems very responsive to me. I don't plan on using it for video or anything that requires a lot of processing. Basically just a play workstation to do word etc and surf the internet on. So for about $100 bucks I have a pretty functional MAC. I was wondering in terms of older hardware like the Optiplex which many businesses are liquidating to move to better hardware, what is the best bang for the buck that I should be able to find on refurb sites and can be easily made into a hackintosh? I found a source for the Optiplex 780 on craigslist for about $40 a piece here locally. Many schools and government offices used the Dells and they seem to be plentiful.
