vigyan
As the topic suggests. I am desperately trying to find a solution to getting complete info of my sata drives in system profiler. One is my western digital 320gb sata drive 7200 rpm and another is transcend ssd370 128gb which is my boot drive. but none of them show trim status or media type or brand name etc. i am running 10.11.1 with every thing full working on my dell e520 . the sata ports require extra kext for installation. though post install the ssd works without any extra kext , but regular one doesn't. i checked with system profiler it was using superviaata and ioatablockstorage kexts to the best of my knowledge. Here is what it looks like under SATA - for my SSD above for my HDD below Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309809-trim-status-other-sata-info-in-system-profiler/ Share on other sites
vigyan
Solved : I don't have ahci option in BIOS. Someone somewhere else suggested to boot with 'raid on' and after putting ahciinjector in clover. My trim status and other details started showing as now sata working with different kexts Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309809-trim-status-other-sata-info-in-system-profiler/#findComment-2206787 Share on other sites
lenny11
How do you boot a single drive with "raid on"? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309809-trim-status-other-sata-info-in-system-profiler/#findComment-2206806 Share on other sites
vigyan
That's the key. It just loads drivers. So single or double doesn't make difference Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309809-trim-status-other-sata-info-in-system-profiler/#findComment-2207123 Share on other sites
