Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has had any luck with fakesmc sensors on skylake?

I've compiled the latest kexts from github, including this commit: Initial Skylake support

However, they seem to cause the system to freeze during boot? (no kernel panic or error)

I saw on a certain shal-not-be-named forum that someone got intel power gadget working, but I can't get that working either.

Try the kexts I compiled from Kozlek's git.  They do not cause my system to freeze http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308707-fresh-install-from-usb-installer-el-capitan-10111-beta-build-15b38b-on-skylake-i7-6700-gigabyte-z170-hd3/?p=2192643. Only oddity I get is the GPU PWM fan shows 600% for speed percentage.

Thanks :D Will try it shortly.

EDIT: Works perfectly, did you do anything special to it before compiling?

Guessing I compiled it incorrectly. Anyway, thanks again

Hi, Vonmolk. Can you see at console and make sure there is not many log at console about "error app" of HW Monitor. 3 days ago, i compile it and thera are many loop about error :)

After booting this morning my sound stopped working. Devices loaded and I had volume control etc, but no actual sound produced. After removing the sensor kexts everything seemed to be fine again. Very strange...

Kernel panic also happened the first time I tried to boot:

panic(cpu 4 caller 0xffffff80003291bb): "a freed zone element has been modified in zone kalloc.96: expected 0xdeadbeefdeadbeef but found 0xceadbeefdeadbeef, bits changed 0x1000000000000000, at offset 64 of 96 in element 0xffffff80311a5060, cookies 0x3f0011594a853f58 0x53521879030bacd"@/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/xnu/xnu-3247.10.11/osfmk/kern/zalloc.c:496

Going to try things again shortly it could be some weird unrelated issue. Also going to try compiling the latest from github to see if that helps.

I am no expert either I think I just got lucky lol.  You can check the other thread that I uploaded the zip.  That is what I am using as far as FakeSMC and plugins as well as the HWMonitor App.
