openbysource Posted October 22, 2006 Share Posted October 22, 2006 Hello friends, I have osx86 10.4.1 tiger. Now I can go to my tiger but only get resolution of 1024x768. The maximum resoultion supported by the hardware is 1280x800 but I am not getting it. I patched the AppleIntel915.kext and AppleIntelIntegrated.kext but nothing really happened. Please help !! openbysource Posted October 23, 2006 Author Share Posted October 23, 2006 ya that's what i think the older version has problem detecting the new graphics chipset. nevermind now i will have the latest one that is 10.4.7 and will upgrade it to 10.4.8 update also. then see what happens. but there must be some way by which we can enable quartz extreme and multiple resolutions in INTEL 950 GMA within tiger 10.4.1 regards Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
laikom Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 The older version may not be the issue actually. I have the 945GM. I cannot get resolutions over 1024x768 either. The strange part is when I plug in an external monitor i get options all the way up to 1600 with it. It's the notebook monitor that won't give me higher res... I believe the GM means it is the mobile (i'm on a laptop as i assume you are.) Kelvin is probably on a desktop. Let me know if you figure it out, i'm still trying everything i can!
