I have a Hackintosh running Mavericks. To boot it up I use Chameleon Bootloader and a legacy kernel.

I want to use the original kernel so I decided to use CLOVER ?.

I have the installer on a USB so CLOVER ? could detect it however my HD and its partitions could not. I am guessing it is because my HD is IDE.

To get my HD working in Chameleon I have to use SuperVIATA.kext (or something like that) to get it booted.

So is there a way for me to try for IDE HD and if so how do you do it?

Try injecting this ApplePCIIDE.kext in Clover/kexts/10.xx

Be sure to inject kexts Clover Configurator config.plist( System Parameters : Injectkexts=YES)

ApplePCIIDE.kext.zip

Good luck

Sorry for late reply,

I used it but still didn't work.

Just so I am clear I am taking about my HD not appearing in CLOVER ? where you choose which drive to boot from.

Sure !  Clover preferres SATA Hard disks !

In the bios of your MOBO you have to switch from AHCI to IDE !

Be sure allso to have in preference the same CLOVER boot version on all disks.

Important  is to be sure to install legacy CLOVER EFI 64 with biosblock IO detection  and not SATA by défault !

Be sure that in CLOVER/ACPI  (configurator window) Use System IO is tagged

Good luck

Sorry for the even later reply however when I choose biosblockIO detection I just get a black screen and my monitor says it is out of range. I have tried using page up and page down to change the resolution but nothing happens (not even a flash). Any suggestions
