zxv
if using clover as your boot loader you have to remove the clover entry in the fakesmc plist so that your new values will take effect if not clover uses it's pre coded defaults. <key>Clover</key><dict> <key>BEMB</key> <array> <string>BEMB</string> <string>flag</string> </array> <key>EPCI</key> <array> <string>EPCI</string> <string>ui32</string> </array> <key>RBr</key> <array> <string>RBr</string> <string>ch8*</string> </array> <key>REV</key> <array> <string>REV</string> <string>{rev</string> </array> <key>RPlt</key> <array> <string>RPlt</string> <string>ch8*</string> </array> </dict> Deleting the entire Clover section probably isn't necessary. Removing keys REV, RVBF, RVUF from it should be enough. Mela quadrata
I tried another test using the value of macbook pro 5,1 instead of 5,2 and results are the same: none sostantial difference... So, in my case, it's only an esthetic trick for system's info. My conclusion is that my hackintosh read and use correctly my cpu "natively"... so this "trick" it could be usefull only for those have a cpu that isn't perfectly used from their hackintosh's configuration... probably for the some of more recents cpu Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308655-fakesmc-keys-for-performance-tuning/page/2/#findComment-2180706 Share on other sites
