andytom Posted September 15, 2015 Share Posted September 15, 2015 I use gigabyte x79 ud3 motherboard to install 10.11 GM with big question about USB device. I must need disable all the usb 3.0 in Bios and than allow me to install the mac os. However, after installing. All of the USB 2.0 cannot be used. So, i cannot use my mouse and my keyboard, i cannot log in to 10.11. It works for iMac SMBios 12.x - 13.x (14.x should work without any changes). If you have a way to install it or make another installation using it, I am happy to share. I can modify it to work for your SMBios if you're using something else. Edit: Sorry I think my USB 2 ports are working though System Profiler shows 8 ports when I have 4 USB2 & 2 USB3 for a total of 6 ports. USB 3 is what's not working at all for me. Can you tell me what clover version, boot flags, kexts and boot flags you use to install osx 10.11? And please, can you share your install config.plist? At my system report I see USB bus like that but with no connections. I can't use any usb device such as mouse or keyboard. Seems I need DSDT... right now I do not use any. My /CLOVER/ACPI/patched is empty... Could you please send me yours?
