tonyrevo
Hi All, I read that my below card would work: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP Dual-X with Boost and OC version PCI-Express Graphics Card 11217-04-20G I boot and the most recent clover v3256 shows loading and then it shows a quick white flash and goes to a black screen. I can hear sound when I click the keyboard or mouse.... Just a black Screen Please help if you've seen. I've used hackintoshs since 2006 and with nvidia cards no problem. Now I'm using a Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB with it not to boot after clover. Please contact me, please help : ) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307912-r9-740x-clover-boot-loading-then-black-screen/ Share on other sites
TheRacerMaster
AFAIK 270X is rebranded 7870. You need proper framebuffer injection. AkimoA
Boot in savemode or without Injection into the Desktop in Vesa Mode Copy the AMD7000Controller.kext and the AMDRadeonX4000.kext on your Desktop ( located at System/Library/Extensions). U inject the vendor/device id of your card into the Info.plist at IOPCITMATCH inside the AMD7000Controller.kext ( via Text Wrangler or such ) and save it . Also u put the dev/ven ID in the Info.plist at the AMDPitcairnGraphicsAccelerator/IOPCIMATCH section in the AMDRadeonX4000.kext and save the file. Your dev /ven id should be 0x68111002 if we are talking about the R9 270x 4096MB ( Check Sys Profiler to be sure ) since u talk about two Cards ?! or a Typo ? After simply reinstall the 2 modified Kexts with Kext Utility ( it should rebuild the prelinkedkernel with KU to be shure also run this in Terminal sudo kextcache -prelinked-kernel wait till its done takes a while) In Clover config.plist find Graphics and set ATI Inject to false save the file and reboot and hold your thumbs.( off course kext-dev-mode=1 needs to be set in the Kernel Flags which u should already have anyways if you´re on Yosemite) Thats one way of doing it offcourse this needs to be repeated after an Update from Apple ... check the Clover Wiki for Kext patching for an alternative way. Good Luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307912-r9-740x-clover-boot-loading-then-black-screen/#findComment-2165466 Share on other sites
