j3ybr3y
Reboot after wake up on El Capitan 10.11.2? For me no. I use latest beta. I just downgraded to Yosemite. Is it working better with the new El Capitan updates? My computer has issues sometimes when I remove the usb adapter, but it's working much better now on Yosemite than El Capitan. I still use script for disable radio before sleep but everything else looks OK for me.

Nightf4ll
For automatization these changes use SleepWatcher, I followed install instruction on http://tyhoffman.com/blog/2013/09/sleepwatcher-power-event-driven-automation/ After install SleepWatcher, edit rc.sleep and rc.wakeup files at "etc" folder. I just wanted to not that sleepwatcher can be installed via homebrew. Another related question. How do I hide the Wireless Network Utility window after wake?? I've tried this, but doesn't work: osascript -e 'tell application "Wireless Network Utility" to close window 1'
Gugol
I just wanted to not that sleepwatcher can be installed via homebrew. Another related question. How do I hide the Wireless Network Utility window after wake?? I've tried this, but doesn't work: osascript -e 'tell application "Wireless Network Utility" to close window 1' Try this: sleep 5 && osascript -e 'tell application "Wireless Network Utility" to quit' at the end of rc.wakeup file. When 5 means five seconds to quit the application. If your wifi needs more time to reconnect just give it more time. Works on El Capitan, on older OS X not tested.
gynekolog
Reboot after wake up on El Capitan 10.11.2? For me no. I use latest beta. Reboots with new router. Latest OS X beta (10.11.4 15E39d) solved it.
marco.pisellonio80
For all: I had same problems, then I tried alternates drivers (same chipset) and now all is ok, in 10.11 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311312-drivers-alternativi-1011-per-d-link-dwa-131-usb-wireless-n-nano/
