Hi folks,

I tried to switch an old Thinkcentre M57 to Yosemite but whenever I dont enter safe mode, it hangs at "WaitingForSystemMapper", this is my hardware:

C2Q 8300

4 x 2GB RAM

Nividia NVS 290/295

Thinkcentre Mainboard (http://www.google.de...oZr5TRt2Z-ZermA)

with Intel Q35 chipset and ICH9 southbridge - so no UEFI

I prepared the install-stick using Clover, using this tutorial: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305255-making-a-10101011-usb-installer-w-clover-uefi-and-legacy-the-correct-way/

Any ideas if this is possible - I red about issues regarding the ICH9 and that a rollback to an older ACPI kext fixed the issue (bot not for me) ?

Cheers

Alex

Hey, we have same chipset so i'll follow this topic.

I've installed Yosemite few times on my Optiplex, but was always in Legacy HDD boot mode and never in AHCI.

I remember having problems with installation you linked, although i did boot it after few kexts rollbacks (appleahciport, ioahcifamily and iopcifamily) from ML 10.8.5.

The latest install method i tested was with MacPwn -http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/327-macpwn-yosemite-vanilla-installation-usb-maker/

And it worked great, but again only in Legacy HDD.
