If you are looking for more storage your best bet would be to get an external firewire hard drive. The mini is a {censored} to open (for me it was closing it up), and there won't be a large enough performance leap to justify moving from a 5400 to 7200 RPM drive. I have heard about quite a few people who saw a performance increase using an external 3.5" drive via firewire. Though I have a hard time believing this for latency reasons when comparing the actual SATA bus to the firewire bus. You can go with an external but unless you do a hack, you won't be able to install Applications on the External Drive. Transfer your iTunes Library to there and save your video files on the external too.
