1. File icons stuck on Lion desktop?

I am guessing that it's the same thing as going Command + Option + Esc, since that gave me the option to relaunch the finder, and it solved the problem, thanks man, your answer led to me figuring it out that way, regardless. Why the bug exists is a mystery for now.
2. File icons stuck on Lion desktop?

This is a screenshot of what happens. http://i696.photobuc...censored}ed.jpg This is what Terminal does when I type in: killall finder: http://i696.photobuc...sored}ed2-1.jpg Hope that gives a more clear explanation, thanks for the tips so far regardless. Anyone else experience this?. P.S. I tried directly displaying the images through the control panel but they did not show up saying "this image cannot be displayed".... damn technology.
3. File icons stuck on Lion desktop?

Yes, just what it says. I am usually browsing files in my Finder within different windows, sometimes dragging files onto the desktop, or not, and the icons decide to stick onto the desktop and I can't click on them or do anything. Is there a fix for this?. One scenario was, when I was dragging some files onto the desktop once, and they weren't aligned perfectly but overlapped, i was trying to drag them all into another folder within another hard drive which is NTFS and I actually enabled read/write with Tuxera NTFS, but before I could drag the files into the NTFS folder from the desktop the files stuck onto the desktop and I couldn't do anything with them!. Rebooting fixed the problem, but the problem is ongoing no matter what. I am running 10.7.2 & thanks in advance for any suggestions!.
4. I have now properly installed my GTX 260 driver for Lion using ###### 3.7.2: http://www.wuala.com/ipriss/Документы/######-3.7.2.zip/ Hey all, so I got everything working so far except my video card in Lion. I have tried the following methods below, with no avail, no cigar. So if anyone has any tips that are not the same things that I've tried already, please let me know. At least I know perfectly well now on how to delete a kext from the boot cd or usb thingy so I don't have to reinstall. Thanks in advance. Oh and also I am just wondering why I do not have an "Extra" folder that a lot of people are talking about here on the forums... it does not exist on my install of Lion in "/Extra/". And how do I disable the stupid reversed mouse wheel-scroll?. Tried adding: Code: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> to com.apple.Boot.plist located in /Lion/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ And made it look like this: Code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> </dict> </plist> But that did not allow the video card to work, which is a nVidia GTX 260 (896MB). I am going to try something else and I'll post my progress here. I tried NVEnabler from the main site before the method below and it caused OS X to give me the black and white pixelated screen before booting, so I couldn't see anything at all. I undid this problem by booting off of my USB Lion boot disc and going into Terminal and typing: Code: cd /Volumes/[Volume Name]/System/Library/Extensions rm -r [Kext name] Restart. And I also found the HCL for my GTX 260 which says it worked with the "Kakewalk method", but it seems to be something similar to what we have here at Tonymacx86 with ###### and #####, and I only want the next for my card not a whole new kernel installed causing maybe my video card to work but then my system to not even boot because an invalid kernel would be installed. The hunt continues for a proper video kext....
5. Bootloaders same as EFI-X?

Hey all, wondering if those ``bootloaders`` out there that you guys use before using a retail disk of Mac OS X, is the same as the usb dongle ``EFI-X``.
6. Dell Dimension 1100 compatible with Leopard?

I've gotten Tiger to work with sound and everything, but that was about 2-3 years ago. Ever since I got rid of the 1100 I got one back again from a co-worker, and I am trying to get leopard on it.
7. mac os x86 for Dell Dimension 1100?

I've done it before with Tiger, right now I am trying Leopard. I got it fully working back then too.
8. Basically what the title says. Is a bootloader, used with a retail dvd of OS X the same as using an already modified osx DVD that are usually made by kalway, legacy, iatkos?. And when i select options in the "customize" menu before installing OS X when using a modified OS X dvd, if I select all the options in that menu it won't work right?, you got to do one option at a time for each section right?, I simply don't know positively, so I just need someone to verify that, thanks in advance!.
9. Bootloaders Better Then Distros?

Do bootloaders work the same way that distros work?, like leo4all and such and such?. If so, what is the best bootloader for AMD system in trying to get Lion installed?. With Lion being kind of a new OS I have been trying to get Snow Leopard onto my Biostar A770E3, with no luck so far. At least the "SNOWLEO MAC Snow Leopard OSX86_64 For INTEL/AMD 32/64 MBR/GUID" disk I used got to where it said: "unable to Mount /dev/disk1s1 (statuscode 0x00000047)" and then after that on other attempts: "still waiting on root device" My specifications are: Biostar A770E3 16GB's RAM AMD Phenom X6 1100T GTX 260 150GB HDD
10. BIOSTAR A770E3 - Mostly working MacPro!

I used the Hazard Client/Server 10.6.2 disk and it didn't work It wouldnt get past where it said "loading damoen" when the thing spins in text. I used: SNOWLEO MAC Snow Leopard OSX86_64 For INTEL/AMD 32/64 MBR/GUID And got as far as: unable to Mount /dev/disk1s1 (statuscode 0x00000047). I almost thought it was going to boot into the installer, almost though. I am trying to install it in a IDE HDD, so I am guessing it may be detecting my SATA drives on booting the instalation disk, I'll try unplugging my sata drives and leaving the ide one connect to see if it boots properly. My specifications are: Biostar A770E3 16GB's RAM AMD Phenom X6 1100T GTX 260 150GB HDD My other HDD's are bigger, both being a Kingston SSD 64GB (for windows 7) and my media being 1TB. Anyone that has a fix or a success story please reply to this thread. My latest error on attempting to bott off the distro mentioned above is: "still waiting on root device" after trying to disconnect all SATA drives leaving just the unallocated drive plugged in. This has got to be possible though, we just got to keep fighting it.
11. Ok so I am aware of these threads: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...ite=%2Bsr5010nx Misc link: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...com/t77951.html Google search: http://www.google.ca/search?q=presario+sr5...lient=firefox-a And this installation method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...amp;hl=sr5010nx And none of those methods in any of those links help for Snow Leopard, or in other words "10.6". So if anyone on this forum, or anyone searching on Google for their Presario SR5010NX, in hopes to put Snow Leopard on it, post your success here. I will update my progress by editting this post or adding a reply.
12. Yeah I followed that guide but it didnt work for me, I tried numerous different combinations of kexts in the "Customize" menu aswell, so if anyone has an alternative method to that guide, please provide it here if you can. In the meantime I will keep trying. Thanks for the link anyways.
13. So I am trying to install 10.5 on a SR5010NX aswell. I have tried many different distributions with no luck. I tried putting 10.6 on it but it doesnt boot. If anyone has gotten 10.6 on the SR5010NX please either PM me or reply to this thread. Or if you have used a specific distro of Mac OS X 10.5 then let me know how you did it, what you checked off in Customize etc, or let everyone know on here with the SR5010NX computer so they have success too. Thanks in advance.
