Do you mean you were replying on the Acronis OS selector before, but after you uninstalled it, you had nothing to let you select to enter an OS other than Windows? Maybe it's better for you to copy the contents of your boot.ini and paste them here so that we can see what we can do with it. vEmpire
well, i used the guides here and installed mac osx 86. i used the os selector and i got MBR error and in the end could only boot mac. I had important files in windows so i uninstalled it after fixing the problem using windows install cd. the uninstalling had this "default boot" thing which i suspect might be the prob. [boot loader] ;timeout=20 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Home Edition" c:\chain0="Mac OS X" heres my boot.ini. theres no change after the last line. nothing happens. just loads direct to windows.
