markmiranpt
Hi all. I have recently built a Amd A10 7850k with an XFX r9 290x graphics card. I have a LG 22" 2560x1080p monitor as my display. I cant seem to run full resolution. The best Im getting is 1920x1080. It looks terrible. Secondly my graphics card is recognised as an 8000 series. Is this normal? Im running chameleon boot loader, I haven't attempted to install clover as yet, it seems like a large learning curve. Any help would be great. Mark. Sridhar
What type of cable are you using. this is an issue if you do HDMI and i had the same issue. Please try display port / mini display port and see if you get a better resolution. DVI-D (dual link) cables also provide 2560*1440 resolution. Hope it helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305524-2560x1080p-monitor-r9-290x-graphics-card/#findComment-2126105 Share on other sites

Pavo
first you must inject ATI using Clover and you must use a framebuffer patch and use Baladi framebuffer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305524-2560x1080p-monitor-r9-290x-graphics-card/#findComment-2126132 Share on other sites
