Hi,

I have an ESXi 5.5 with 3 VMs : Xpenology, Windows 8.1 and Mac OS X 10.9 server.

I'm wondering if Max OS X unlocker will still working if I upgrade my ESXi from 5.5 to 6.0. Does anyone have already tried to update from 5.5 to 6?

Thx in advance,

Rgds

Sebastien

No it does not work.

I can confirm, that unlocker 1.3 isn't working on ESXi 6.

But you can use OS X VMs running on ESXi 5.5 the same way Zenith432 described in this post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303105-vmware-11-is-out-unlocker-available-any-better/?p=2093265

I tested this with the latest Yosemite public beta and it worked for me.

No way to install a fresh OS X VM that way, but maybe if you are using Clover or anything like that, after modifying the vmx as described.

Note that ESXi 6.0 brings it's own darwin.iso vmware-tools, so no need to insert them.

As far as i tested there are no performance benefits or penalties using 6.0 over 5.5, neither there are any differences between HV version 10 and 11.

Can anybody else confirm this ?
