xfsasx Posted October 17, 2006 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Ok i got osx x86 on my Gateway, i forget the model number but it has a 2.6ghz Intel Celeron and i replaced the motherboard with a VIA one a couple months back. I wish i can give specifics the only thing i know was it was a Northwood chip. Anyway, I wanted to get all my problems in one thread so i dont clutter. I've looked around and tried to find some things but i dont think my way of wording stuff is coming up anywhere! So, I installed Jas 10.4.7 and said to install the VIA package and everything worked fine the first boot but the next boot i get a VIA.kext error and says i need to reinstall it. I cant reboot but can shut down so its not much of a hassle for me, i can deal with it! If someone knows a fix then great if not then whatever! Next, my CPU is a 2.6ghz but shows up as 1.5, I'm not sure why, again not a big deal but if someone knows a fix great! Another thing is i have two ATI Raedon cards and the Motherboard VGA. The one that is working i think is a 9300 series or so but i would like to get dual monitors working if possible with the other raedon or motherboard vga. The other ATI card is a 7200 series i think. It doenst bother me too much but again if theres a fix awesome. Lastly and the thing that bugs me oddly enough is i have a TV Tuner card (Norwood, i think) and would like to see if that could run. It also has a usb Infrared Reciver that came with it but that too is not being recognized, although when i use my apple remote i can see a light blinking in the reciver but nothing happens. I'm sorry for the long post but i figured it would be better to make 1 thread rather than 4. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks again guys.
