spikeh
I think the issue is with sleep, so when I leave the PC alone it will go into sleep mode; but when I try and wake it by moving the mouse/typing on the keyboard, only the screen comes back on. The hard drives, and fans remain off, so I think it's stuck in sleep mode. Also, I can get a "busy" icon to come up (the swiring circle) but fans and HDDs are still off. Is there a solution to this problem, other than disabling sleep? I'm not 100% sure that it is sleep, so could it be something else? munky
I have the exact opposite problem - everything spins back up, but the screen never wakes! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30363-sleep-issues/#findComment-210383 Share on other sites
Rammjet
Try pushing the power button. Otherwise, accept it and reboot or turn off sleep in the Energy Saver preference. spikeh
Pushing the power button does not work, so I guess there's nothing I can do about it. Turned it off in Energy Saver and am using InsomniaX to stop the system from sleeping when I close the lid temprarily. McSkywalker
There's a jumper in my mobo to turn on or off the keyboard wake up. Maybe your problem can be solved by it. But sleep function is not always very pleasant with real macs, though.
