Rammjet
If the installer quit saying that there was an error and installation couldn't be completed, then that usually means there is a problem with the DVD. Try reburning it at the slowest speed. If available, try a different brand or type of media (dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-rw, dvd+rw) Perhaps the lense in the DVD drive needs cleaning. Perhaps the DVD drive needs updated firmware if it isn't the latest. You could try to install using VMWare. It installs to your partition and you don't need to use VMWare to run OSX once it is installed. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11314 Lastly, the iso you downloaded could be corrupt - try downloading it again.
