Clover: 10.10.1 - First Update...What Do I Do?

Hey All,

 

So, Apple just released 10.10.1.

I am brand new to clover, and just got everything is working 100% perfect. I don't want to screw up my Hackintosh by installing this without knowing the proper steps.

 

So, what do I do with Clover to update my OS, and to ensure that I don't mess up iMessage, or anything else?

No one knows how to update while on Clover? That is very odd.

just update thru AppStore and and let it reboot and you're done

 

EDIT: if u have a HD4000/4600 just do the patch again....do not forget

When running Chameleon, this is considered a big "no, no!"

 

Updating through the app store can completely screw up a stable system. Since I am new to Clover, I am looking for any potential issues that might come from upgrading. I don't want to have it screw up my iMessage, or boot, or whatever. 

 

Is there nothing special that needs to be done with Clover? Please excuse my hesitation to upgrade without further confirmation, but it took me a lot of effort to get it working.

I updated to 10.10.1 thru App Store and did nothing else. Works perfectly fine.

Depends on how you set up your system, but if you use KextsToPatch instead of direct binary patching it should be good to go. At most you might need to update a patch's data because of binary changes.
