MacUser2525 Posted November 13, 2014 Share Posted November 13, 2014 I have a Sonnet Allegro (fw400ae) pci-e that works well and in the past used a SB Audigy pci that worked without any extra .kext for the fw port on it if you can find one of them laying around. luki1979 Posted November 20, 2014 Author Share Posted November 20, 2014 In the end I got UniBrain Fireboard 800 for £10 on Ebay and it's working perfectly on PCI leaving me precious PCI-E alone. This card is Firewire 800 and 400 so all perfect.
