polyzargone Posted October 20, 2014 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Hi everyone ! Since Mavericks, I had a lot of problems with this Graphic Card. It's a Saphhire AMD Radeon HD 6570 1 Gb on an Asus p5gc-mx/1333 4 Gb DDR2 and Core2Duo e6600 @ 2,4 GHz. I hoped that Yosemite will bring some improvements but it's worst than ever. The boot runs fine but when DSMOS has arrived, it's the russian roulette. Most of the time, it crashes with an IOPCIFamily Graphic Accelerator and AMDRadeonX3000.kext error. On second attempt, it crashes with a bootstrap exception and if i'm lucky, the third try is the right one. The card works OOTB with no kexts mods so I don't understand where's the problem. I tried Chameleon and Clover and even if Clover seems to manage the card a little bit better, it still very hazardous. I also tried to re-install Mav and Yos a number of time with the more vanilla install as possible (only FakeSMC, Ethernet and patched AppleHDA kexts) but still this damned random KPs ! I use a patched DSDT (attached) for enabling HDEF and fix some minor issues but with or without it, it's the same I've read that Radeon HD 6xxx could had issues but it was with Mountain Lion, right ? So what ?
