justniell
So let's get to the point. I just finished downloading Yosemite 10.10 from MAS then make a UFD installer (HP 8GB). I use clover bootloader and only put fakeSMC in the kext/10.10 folder... it gets into clover but I'm stuck while it loads the installer.. I cant even get into the installer.. I'm pretty much sure the two last lines are: Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport! Still waiting for root device It somehow gave me screen artifacts but eventually freezes... There is also that icon in the middle of the screen... Is there anything I did wrong? I disabled my Graphic card (it's not supported) and set everything I need in the BIOS. I can get into my Mavericks 10.9.5 without a problem.. Oh, I've also checked the OPTIONS in clover... it somehow has DSDT.aml, but when I look it up in the EFI folder, there's no DSDT.aml... A little confession, I've used a DSDT.aml from someone else before and it works well and gets me into the bootloader but with an issue (the screen splitted into 4), so I decided to remake the installer, but somehow, the options in clover always shows DSDT.aml Here is my laptop specs: ACER ASPIRE E1-471G Intel Core i3-2328M 2.20GHz 2GB of RAM 500GB of SSD (only use 50GB for OSX) NVidia GeForce GT 630M 1GB (Integrated) Intel HD Graphics 3000 - 2nd Gen OS Installed: Niresh-Mavericks 10.9.5 & Windows 8 and here is the screenshot where I got stuck at.. luki1979
screen artefacts usually sorted with cpus=1 boot flag, basically try some boot flags. digital_dreamer
If it's "Still waiting for root device", then the bootloader has not be properly installed for that partition/drive. I also tried inserting kext-dev-mode, graphicsenabler, safe mode, and everything gave me same results If it's "Still waiting for root device", then the bootloader has not be properly installed for that partition/drive. MAJ if it's not properly installed, then how to fix the problem? justniell
Try this guide, maybe is diferent http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298753-boot-usb-os-x-yosemite-chameleon/ okay, i followed the instruction and try using chameleon now.. but again, I'm stuck.. looks like it can't find the kernel... i got the kernel.. got it from a friend who already installed yosemite.. but I still can't get into the installer... it shows the apple logo for less than 5secs and then reboot itself, I booted with -v to see what's running behind it.. I can't even read it (it runs really fast then reboot itself again).. I tried a few bootargs, but still.. then I try GE=Yes, it didnt reboot, but stuck, the last line I saw was this: (same thing happen when I use PCIRootUID=1) "name" not a kext "Kernel-_SYMTAB" not a kext anything I can do to fix this? justniell
I solved this by using Chameleon Enoch r2403. I'll mark this as solved. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301587-os-x-yosemite-1010-im-stuck-please-help/#findComment-2072594 Share on other sites
