scy0846
I have an Alienware 17 r5. I got 10.9.5 up and running almost perfectly. Sound works (speakers only) through patched AppleHDA.kext and DSDTALC668.zip. My problem now is I cannot get the Audio to work through the headphones. I have tried VoodooHDA as well and that made nothing but static go through the headphones. I tried every fix for that and nothing worked. I found out that I could modify the AppleHDA and DSDT to get it to work, but that's not working either. Could anyone look through my DSDT or AppleHDA.kext and tell me what I may have done wrong or how I should fix it? Thank you for your help.
Nemorosus
Have you tried changing it manually from Sys Preferences?
scy0846
yes. It will change automatically when I plug it in. I don't have to change it in System Preferences. I also tried changing the midi audio setup

scy0846
I am still getting nothing but static in the headphones. Tried to change the iGain to 0 and still had bad static. Messed with Midi again and nothing happened
