fermolino
Hi! Today I received the new GTX 980. I installed it in my hackintosh and unfortunately it does`t work: Mavericks fails to start (white screen - freeze) and Yosemite reboot continuously. I tried the installer of both too but without success Do you know something that I could do/try? Before I had a 780 Ti. I´ve a GA-Z87H-UD3H too. Will the final version of yosemite compatible? Tnx. vusun123
You will need the Nvidia web installer in order for those Maxwell tech GPUs to work, though it is still beta and very unstable, but there are ppl with GTX 970 have it working on Yosemite so ... For now you should stick with the 780Ti Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301060-gtx-980-doesnt-work-neither-with-mavericks-nor-with-yosemite/#findComment-2063332 Share on other sites
=)(=
You need to boot with the flag below, and then install Nvidia driver, on Yosemite ofc. nv_disable=1 You can also use this flag to boot into Mavericks, but it will be very laggy.
