bob321654984 Posted August 24, 2014 Share Posted August 24, 2014 So I can see Yosemite Beta 2 is now available on the App Store. Is it safe to upgrade this way on a Hackintosh? I'm pretty sure I kept my Mavericks install always up to date this way, but wanted to check out the correct method as Yosemite was harder to get working in the first place?... stinga11 Posted August 24, 2014 Share Posted August 24, 2014 The Yosemite Beta 2 is practically the same as the Yosemite DP6. I have installed the DP6 and it works very well. Remember to use kext-dev-mode = 1 and I don't think have a problem. ikingblack Posted August 24, 2014 Share Posted August 24, 2014 App Store updates should work, just make sure you have a backup and a copy of any third-party kexts you have installed. I usually make a USB with Clover installed just to be safe, but that's not necessarily required.
