andreainside
Hello to all users . I've read here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/293049-guide-mavericks-amd-radeon-hd5450/ how to make an HD5450 work under Mavericks. Initially i just edited the kext, as 60Hz refresh rate on a crt kills your eyes in about 3 femtoseconds, maybe 5 if you are wearing a welding mask, but to be honest I would very much prefer the cleaner (and proper, i guess?) way of editing the dsdt file. Now here is where the difficult (for me, at least) part begins. I've found the GFX0 entry, I can't seem to find the right place where to paste what the guide says. If i leave it as is, the editor complains that there are multiple "_ADR" entries, and if I just "merge" them under one entry i get, depending on which one i keep, either nothing or a kernel panic at the next reboot. So here I am, asking for your help. System specs: ASRock G41C-VS E2160 CPU 4 GiB of cheap elixir DDR3 And said Sapphire HD5450, here in 1GiB flavour If i get it right, attached should be the dsdt file I'm working with, catted in a linux environment. EDIT: apparently I didn't get it right.

Dan Zimmerli
The tutorial is apparently gone. Can’t get the page to load. The author moved it to a new site and the new site gives error 503.
