Lordadmiral Drake
Ever since I updated Yosemite to DP2 I can't get it to boot up. (I'm using single user mode to manually load FakeSMC) It hangs at: bash: /etc/rc.server: No such file or directory bash: /etc/rc.installer_cleanup: No such file or directory I tried rebuilding caches, all possible boot flag combinations, but nothing helped. allenwkk
there is a change in Kernel in DP2 and also in next DP3... you have to change the Kernel after upgrade before reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299533-system-wont-boot-after-update-to-dp2/#findComment-2041047 Share on other sites
Lordadmiral Drake
How would I do that? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299533-system-wont-boot-after-update-to-dp2/#findComment-2041137 Share on other sites
allenwkk
assuming you are using Chameleon to boot: find the kernel from /System/Library/Kernels/kernel copy and rename it to mach_kernel and replace the old one. allenwkk
I am not using Clover, so cannot help much. Just for interest: did you upgrading from 10.9 to Yosemite DP1? did you install the server package in 10.9? if yes, I suggest you do a clean install on DP1 and then upgrade. Lordadmiral Drake
I did upgrade from Mavericks, but didnt install the 10.9 server. I wanted to avoid reinstalling cause I couldn't find my installer stick. But since I found it now I'll try it that way Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299533-system-wont-boot-after-update-to-dp2/#findComment-2041618 Share on other sites
